I founded Great Griffin Farm in April of 2002 with my Father, Edwin Hudspeth.
Our goal was to operate a top notch equestrian center in the heart of the midwest where we could share our passion and our love of horses as well as offering excellent care, training and coaching for all our athletes: horse and human alike!I believe whether you are competing at the National level or are a novice who is passionate about the sport you will find there is a place for both horse and rider to grow and reach their goals at Griffin.
I love working with my students sharing my knowledge and experiences to help them achieve their goals both in and out of the show ring.
We take great pride in the reputation we developed over our 15 years of operation. Please
take a moment to learn about the experiences people just like you enjoyed with us!
“Great Griffin Farm has truly been a blessing to our family! My stepdaughter has been riding and taking lessons for almost 3 years. During this time she has found her passion for horses and has gained so much confidence! The staff at GGF is very dedicated and awesome to work with!! Thank you Great Griffin Farm!!”

Katie was born and raised in Oklahoma. She has been riding hunters & jumpers since 2003 and has competed in both hunter and jumper disciplines. She joined our team January 2017 after graduating from William Woods University where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Equine Science & Social Work with a minor in Equestrian Administration.
Katie is the director of our academy, camp, working student and equestrian team programs.
Mari has a Bachelor's degree in Equine Science from Stephens College. She is also a USDF Silver and Bronze medalist and has successfully competed in dressage through Grand prix Level. Mari’s focus on flatwork and its relation to fences sets up horse and rider for success in and out of the show ring. In addition to her years of riding and coaching,
She has coached riders from the start of their riding career through the Grand Prix level, as well as helped keep our show horses fit and ready for reaching the potential to compete at all levels. Mari is a true horsewoman as well as a dog lover, you will never see her without one of her canine sidekicks at her side!
"Great people and great horses! The instructors care about their students and want them to learn and grow with each visit. The new stars program is a wonderful way to motivate and teach the students about horse care and the horses routines, plus the horses are sweet as can be. This is a great facility with truly great people!!!"

Betsey was born in the horse industry as her mother was the Master of Foxhounds for Bridlespur Hunt Club and her father was the Captain of St. Louis Polo Club. She graduated from Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia with a BA and BFA. She received a great education while she was in "horse country" riding-showing-training-steeplechasing and hunting with hounds. Upon her return to St. Louis in 1973 Besty was drawn back to her passion and has an extensive career judging-training-teaching and riding. Her husband is the President of St. Louis Benefit Polo and three sons also have foxhunted and competed in horse shows sharing in the family tradition. We are excited to offer Betsy's 60 plus years of experience to our program.
